I followed a link on a blog last week, and I can't get it out of my mind. So, if you feel tough, follow this link . Since I read through it, and watched the video, it made me realize how truly blessed we are to have the knowledge we do, and the opportunity to be forever. It made me want to be a better person, and do all that I can to be with my family. This couple was inspiring to watch. I know if it were me, I would be in a mental ward somewhere. Anyway, enough of this, watch if you want. Or not.

first day of school and chocolate

Yesterday was the first day of 3rd grade (I almost just typed 1st). That was my favorite grade (and 8th), Miss Perry was the best. Kelton will learn multiplication tables, and cursive this year. I just can't believe he is already that old. WEIRD!!! We went shopping for school clothes, and he picked out all his own things, including a braided belt. lol. The shorts he is wearing in this picture are his favorite, he chose these because uncle Dave wears shorts like that. The shoes, yes, one lace black and one white are "Tony Hawks!" and they came with black and white shoelaces in each shoe, they were way too long, so he opted to have one of each. He had a great first day. Only 2 of his friends are in his class, so that was a bummer, however, his other friends aren't all in the same class either. This makes me wonder if they put 2 in each class on purpose. He loves his teacher, Miss Threet, and is happy to be back.

Sam is becoming quite the climber. If we forget for 1 second to have the gate up by the bathroom, he literally tries to climb in it. His latest feet is the couch.

I only gave him a half a cookie! I thought it wouldn't be so bad, and the pictures don't even do it justice. I handed it to him in the kitchen, walked over to the computer, and the next thing you know, Kelton is chuckling, I turn around, and Sam comes around the corner grinning...

Boys

Kelton starts school next week, the third grade. He got the teacher he wants and is so excited to go back. He is ready to go back. I am so excited for him to learn cursive, and times tables this year. I loved third grade. He had a soccer game on Saturday and he scored 3 goals! I am so happy he has a sport that he loves, now I need to learn the rules a bit better. He is on a team of 3rd and 4th graders, and he and a friend he plays with at recess are probably the best 2. For those of you that saw his first few years of soccer, you know this is huge. He always would stay out on the perimeter and run along side all that was happening. Now he gets in there and does all this fantsy footwork. It is so cool.

Sam has finally started to crawl more than 2 steps(i know that's not right, but you get it) on his knees. He finds it so much faster to do the worm crawl thing. Yesterday he started to go further and further the real way and he is becoming so much quicker. He started pulling himself up on everything last week, including his bed. I love being home to witness all these firsts. However, now I need another one so I can still have a little one.

i had to take the shelf out of the entertainment center because he kept trying to pull up on it, and it kept falling down. now, he can see the hole in the back where the cords are. he was making all kinds of i am so cool sounds when he found this last night.

I have been freezing water in some milk jugs for water storage (i don't think the 20 gallons in the shed is enough). one of them sprung a leak, so i was just defrosting before i threw it out. kelton saw it and said i don't need to do that, and told me why....yes,that is a band-aid.

hashbrowns for dinner, Sam sneezes, and here is a photo of where a lone hashbrown went. when we pulled it out, it was about 2 inches long!

he thinks it's a trampoline under there. but the problem is he can't get himself out.

Camping with Dad

The boys got home yesterday from there little camping/bear chasing trip. Kelton had an absolute blast. He has been talking about it nonstop since he got back. They chased bears, flew his remote control airplane, played a little ball, and wrestled with the air mattress (that ended up in the garbage at 1 in the morning). Here are a few pictures.
