Baseball

I finally got some decent pictures at Kelton's game last night...He pitched for the first 2 innings, and did great! It is so crazy seeing him out there on the mound. Cool and collected. I know that I am more nervous than he is when he is out there. His team is really doing a lot better. They are covering each other, and just all around playing better as a team. Too bad, almost all the guys on the team are 4th graders and won't be on the same team next year. sigh. After the game, the coach gave him the "game ball" since he did such a good job. WOOOHOOOO Kelton! I love this time of year.

camping with the boys...and some girls too

Shad and Kelton went bear hunting last weekend. Come to find out all the wives and children of the other guys went. I didn't know until it was a bit late to find a fill in for sunbeams, but it was rainy and gross anyway....Kelton had a great time, he drove the 4 wheeler, played, and played. Thanks for the pictures Mckell.

baseball

I haven't posted anything for a while on baseball this year. It has been awesome! I have been taking video and pictures, but having issues getting them on this computer (doesn't work with my new vista- and my old computer doesn't have enough memory to do it).

The game on Tuesday was exciting. Games last 90 minutes. Our team was the home team, and at our last at bat we tied the game. When games end in ties they do "international little league rules", which means they put a guy on 2nd and do another inning. The other team scored 4 points, then we tied it back up! So, they put a guy on 2nd and 3rd and proceeded with another inning. They other team scored 4 again, and we answered again! The winning run was thrown out at home with a slide, and tag by the catcher. It was an outstanding play. They decided to leave it at a tie since it was already an hour over, and there were still 2 more games to be played on that field. Wed. game was rained out, so that was a bummer, but we will have 2 more next week. Kelton will be pitching in the next game, so we are practicing a lot in the back yard for that. Wooo hoooo!

here are a couple that i was able to get off the camera. this is from the pitch, run, and throw contest a couple weeks ago (before i realized i couldn't use the darn video camera)

ants

Question of the day. What are ants purpose? Why did they get put on this planet? They are sooooooo gross. I especially hate it when they congregate in huge piles either on the grass, or on the driveway. Both are just NASTY. Just thinking about it right now makes all the hairs on my arms stick up and makes me want to pull my hair out. Today whilst out doing some yard-work, I hosed down the back patio-not even 2 hours later the ants were already there piling their dirt outside a crack. They are busy little fellas. I really really hate it if we get them in the house. It seems every spring they "spring up" and I know if I see 1, there are thousands lurking around. I am thankful Shad understands how much I hate them, he is quick to get spraying when they show up. OK, that's my rant. I hate ants. They freak me out.

Happy mothers day to all you mothers out there! I love being a mom, and hope I can be as good as my own mother, and mother in law some day. Today after getting up with Sam, I made sure to make enough racket so Shad would wake up and I could go back to bed. SUCCESS. I woke up to the boys about an hour later with 3 plates of food. Shad made a breakfast sandwich (which was so good, but it was really what he wanted), french toast (which is what i asked for), and Kelton made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with bannas and a hersheys kiss on top. It. was. delicious. I have had a great day so far and am heading down to moms for dinner, then to mom johnson's after. Woot woot!

This is a picture from Max's baptism last week.

Yesterday Shad and his buddies took the dogs out to get a bear, and this is what ended up happening instead.

they made it out safe and sound, but oh so sad, no bear.

Kelton's game went pretty well. He did great, and had a blast-even though they were out scored 18-2. He will have another one tomorrow at 5, and we are excited once again. I do have a few pictures, but haven't downloaded them yet, so for now here is a cute couple i know...
