Birthday Boy

This was opening Grandma Wall's card with a ton of $5 bills in it.

Eli and Max

I asked Kelton a month or so ago what he wanted to do for his birthday. I thought he would say skating rink (to use the scooter), swimming, or laser tag. These were all some of his favorite birthday parties he went to. You can imagine my happiness when he said "I really want to get grandma's slide and have my friends and all my family come over and get pizza." So, that's what we did. We got Grandma Johnson's slide, Grandma Wall's pool, and I bought another one. He even wanted to make his own cake. Lemon with blue frosting. They had a blast. It was so funny watching he and his friends playing. They didn't hardly say anything, they played and threw balls at each other, and laughed. I kept waiting to hear squealing and talking, but obviously boys are different than girls. Thank you so much for everyone that came and called.

Last Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Wall took Kelton knee boarding,he got up on the knee board for the first time. I am so proud! He also got his wolf badge and gold and silver arrow last pack meeting. He has had a busy couple weeks. Tomorrow he and Shad are going camping together for a few days, so he bought a BB gun WITH SCOPE with some of his birthday money.

Happy Birthday Kelton!

9 months

It's been a while since I posted anything, but I haven't been the best about taking pictures the last couple weeks. I can't blog without those! Sam had his 9 month check up a couple weeks ago and he came in at 19.1 lbs (27%),height 29.8(91%), and the melon was 18.8 (97%). So we have a tall big headed skinny boy! I was reassured by the Doctor that it's plenty normal to not be crawling yet. He is so close, I think every day will be the day. He is doing the army crawl all over. I think if he would stop using his feet to get everything, he would be using his arms a bit more, therefore he would be crawling. When he's ready he will, but in the mean time, it's nice not having to have a gate up all day. Last Monday and Tuesday he got his upper 2 teeth. I haven't taken a picture of it yet since they are barely through. They are gigantic. I don't think I have ever seen a little kid with such huge teeth! They look like permanent teeth and the gap in the middle is so big, you can probably put another tooth in there. It is so totally cute! Oh, how I love my boys.

Kelton had his last ball game last week. I wish they would play more games. I love watching him and he really likes it too. Soccer starts at the end of July and he is excited for that.

We had the first annual Johnson family reunion at Seven Peaks on Saturday. It was a blast. Sam had fun in the water, and Kelton just loves his cousins to death. I spent almost an hour trying to find them to go down some slides with Kelton, but couldn't find them. They were having to much fun to even come back to the pavilion to eat.

That's about it. I miss my parents since they have been gone for a couple weeks, and I really need them to just move here already. I love Washington and miss it terribly. I wish I was there seeing Matty and his family right now...Just move here already so I don't have to sit here wondering what is going on up there. I don't even want to call cause then I will hear all the fun times up there.

Over and out.

4th of July

Hope everyone had a good 4th! This year PG moved the fireworks show to the jr. high, so we were all a little bummed that it wasn't close like usual. The boys lit a bunch of fireworks and had a ball. Sam fell asleep around 9, so he didn't get to see a thing. Oh well, maybe next year.

Yuba

Thank you Thompson's for the trip to Yuba last weekend. They mentioned to me that they were going to go the last weekend of June forever ago. We were going to go for the weekend, but other things came up and couldn't go until Sunday. I told Shad, arranged for another teacher in sunbeams, and looked forward to it for most of the month. When it came down to the week of, Shad acted like I had never said anything (including each day during the week that I brought it up). On Saturday night Kelton got home from his Fish Lake trip and asked if we were going to Yuba the next day, I said that at least he and I would if dad didn't. Sunday came, Shad slept in until 9:30 (we were supposed to leave at 10), then acted like he didn't hear Kelton when he asked if we were going. I called and told them we weren't going to go. Sarinah immediatley called back and said you are going, get ready and we will pick you up. I was all, ok i will get ready and meet you with or without Shad. I need to get away and relax. We proceeded to get ready and Shad begrudgingly got in the car. Once there, he livened up a bit and had a good time. Too bad the engine stopped about 200 yards off shore and the boys spent 2 hours tearing it apart while we swam. I was impressed that they knew what to do. I even asked if they had oars to row ourselves back to shore. On a tangent the first time out in my dad's boat we had to do precisley that-row back to shore. lol. We fished, ate,and swam some more. It was such a great day. Sam was a champ and only took a couple little naps and didn't get burned. Thank you soooo much Thompson's and thank you Shad for going with the family.

this is kelton getting a little peeved-i think he wanted to fish at this point

Memories

Fun Times

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Fish Lake

Uncle Kevin took the Carter's and Kelton to Fish Lake last weekend for some fishing and relaxing. They had a blast. He rented a cabin and the kids got to sleep in the loft. On the first afternoon Kelton caught 25 fish! He also caught a couple really big ones that we cooked up for dinner on Monday night. Thank you so much Kev he had such a good time. I bought Kelton a disposable camera to take whatever pictures he wanted, but I haven't taken it in yet to get developed. Here are some from Kevin's camera.
